Small-Batch Manufacturing

Test a design, launch a drop or kit out a team without sitting on hundreds of unsold pieces. Our minimum is 10 pieces per design, with sizes mixed.

Short answer: Small-batch manufacturing means producing short runs, from 10 pieces per design at Rumbling Fit, rather than the hundreds or thousands many factories require. It lets new brands test products, gyms order exact quantities, and established brands release limited drops without tying up cash in stock.

Why small batches make sense in fightwear

Fightwear sells in drops. Designs are often tied to a season, an event, a team or a collaboration, and demand is hard to predict. Ordering 500 pieces of an untested rash guard is a cash-flow risk most brands don't need to take. Small batches let you:

  • Test before scaling: release three designs at 20 pieces each and reorder the one that sells.
  • Run limited editions: scarcity sells in combat sports, and small runs keep it genuine.
  • Order for real numbers: a gym with 34 members can order 34 rash guards, not 100.
  • Protect cash flow: spend on marketing instead of warehouse stock.

How we make small runs work

Many factories set high minimums because setup costs (patterns, screens, print calibration) are spread across the run. We keep small batches viable by working from proven base patterns, using sublimation (which needs no screens), and grouping cutting and printing efficiently. The result is a realistic unit price at 10 pieces and a lower one as you scale.

Quantity per designWhat to expect
10–49 pcsHighest unit price; ideal for tests, teams and samples-to-market
50–99 pcsNoticeable price drop; good for first brand drops
100–299 pcsStandard brand runs; best balance of cost and risk
300+ pcsBulk pricing; consistent reorders and wholesale programmes

Exact prices depend on product, fabric and decoration. Ask for a quote at several quantity breaks so you can see the curve.

Rules for small-batch orders

  • 10 pieces per design. A design is one style in one colorway.
  • Sizes can be mixed. For example 2 S, 3 M, 3 L, 2 XL.
  • Same quality controls as bulk: inline checks and a final inspection.
  • Same lead times: samples in 7–9 days, production and air delivery in 30–45 days.

Getting the most from a small batch

  • Keep the size range tight. Five sizes at 10 pieces means two per size. Consider S–XL only for a first run.
  • Use sublimation for complex art. It costs the same for one color or twenty, and needs no screens.
  • Share fabric across designs. Three designs in the same fabric is easier and cheaper than three different fabrics.
  • Plan the reorder. Note which sizes sell first and adjust the next run.
