Guides for fightwear brands · Sialkot, Pakistan
Set prices that cover every cost, leave room for wholesale and discounts, and still sell.
Short answer: Price a fightwear collection by calculating landed cost per unit (product, shipping, duty, packaging), then applying a target margin, commonly 2–2.5× landed cost for wholesale and 2× wholesale for retail (about 4–5× landed). Check against competitors and leave room for discounts and marketing.
Landed cost = unit price + share of shipping + duties and taxes + labels/packaging + payment fees.
| Channel | Typical multiplier |
|---|---|
| Wholesale price | 2–2.5× landed cost |
| Retail price (direct) | ~2× wholesale price |
| DTC-only brands | Often 3–4× landed cost |
These are common industry ranges, not rules. Your marketing costs, returns and channel fees decide what works.
Compare your planned retail price with similar products: same fabric, decoration and brand positioning. If you're far above, improve the product story; if far below, you may be leaving margin on the table.
Launch discounts, bundles (rash guard + shorts sets) and seasonal sales all eat margin. Build them in from the start.
If a rash guard's landed cost is X, a wholesale price around 2.2X and a retail price around 4.4X follow the common model. Adjust after testing.
